The 27th edition of theThe Marching Bands Music Festival - Town of Umbertide. The concerts will be held from 2 to 8 September in Piazza Matteotti, from 21.00
The umbertidese September 2014, opens with a tradition and always enjoyed by the population, the Survey of Town of Umbertide marching bands now in its XXVIIª edition. The initiative is sponsored by the Municipality of Umbertide, the Province of Perugia, Umbria Region and the Company Aimet.
The concerts will be held from 2 to 8 September in Piazza Matteotti, from 21.00
It starts Tuesday, September 2 with the Philharmonic Society of Pretola directed by Eleonora Bastianelli. Wednesday, September 3rd, the town band of Umbertide and Perugia String Quartet directed by Galliano Cerrini remember, in a special evening, the master Peter Franceschini, for many years director of the band of Umbertide, in the tenth anniversary of his death. Thursday, September 4th will be the scene of the Philharmonic Braccio di Montone Fortinbras directed by Rolando Tironzelli. Friday, September 5th concert of the Brass Band of Umbria Umbertide directed by Stefano Mancini. Saturday, September 6 will perform the Philharmonic Society of Peccioli (Pisa) directed by Lorenzo Bocci. The final evening, Monday, September 8, the feast of Our Lady of the patron saint of the city, is reserved to the City Band directed by Galliano Cerrini Umbertide.
In case of inclement weather the concerts will take place at the Teatro dei Riuniti.
