Village of Bastia Creti
Ancient village in loc. Bastia Creti built around 1433, in the old maps is called the Cross of Bastia. The construction of this fort, authorized by the directors of Perugia, was dated to around 1433. The Tifernati in 1439 made an incursion into the territory of Bastia Creti, Preggio and Reschio; in this raid the soldiers of the Town of Castle made many prisoners. Bastia Creti in 1488, after various vicissitudes, was in need of urgent interventions and Perugia exempted the inhabitants of the area for three years from payment of the "benefit of the fire." The measure, however, did not prove sufficient, so much that he sent, in 1485, a contribution of thirty gold florins to restore the castle walls. Today it is not possible to recognize with certainty the primitive traces of the fortress and city walls. The hamlet has been recently completely renovated.
