"Lido Tevere" Park
The old "Lido Tevere" now lives in this pleasant green space along the banks of the river where citizens and visitors can relax during the summer
Once (in the 30s) was to Umbertide "Lido Tiber", equipped with beach chairs and cabanas on 100 meters from the historic center, bar and round through the trees to dance in the warm summer evenings. Then, a violent flood, swept away the beach of umbertidesi.
Seventy years, albeit with conditions inevitably change, the old "Lido Tevere" now lives in Lido Tevere Park, a green space along the banks of the river where citizens and visitors can relax during the warmer season. Cycling and walking paths, benches, a large central plaza for outdoor performances, all well lit. From the words of Mayor Giampiero Giulietti, during the inauguration of this new green space available to the community and tourists, all reflected satisfaction with the finished project: "It 'was an important job that has allowed us to recoup some significant in our city and that makes us proud to be living umbertidesi the Tiber as a key resource for our community. "
